I find people fascinating. I love to watch them in their daily lives and when possible hear their unique stories. The human figure called to me in my art as a child when I created silhouettes of my younger brothers and sisters and captured their unique spirits.
When painting a person I center them in a scene or use colors and lines that will reveal a little of who they truly are.

Like people, every pet has a unique personality. I strive to bring this flash of life to the canvas so the viewer will see the true spirit of the companion animal and appreciate the joy each brought to someone’s life.
